Day 18
We took a couple public buses (on its own, a pretty fine cultural experience) to go to Simrik Atelier, the studio of traditional Paubha art started by the painter Lok Chitrakar. We spent time painting a classic lotus scene. In Nepali culture, this flower represents a human being. Painting was quite challenging, but everybody enjoyed the process. Then we headed to NeXus, a cultural center founded by artist Ashima Ranjit, to have lunch. After lunch, we started doing a community mural under the leadership of lovely Ashmina. This time we didn’t have any strict rules, so the canvas served as a perfect field for the expression of our personalities. All in all, this day was a great success!

Day 19
Today we went shopping from 10am to 2pm in the neighborhood of Thamel. People purchased new clothes for the upcoming flight at an outlet shop that Chhyumba showed us. After lunch and our last group meeting, we went to a stunning garden where we took time to wander around and enjoy the views. Overall, a solid day. Now we leave Kathmandu!
