Day 5
Hey everyone! Today was our first day of service, and it already feels so rewarding! After an exhilarating soccer match, we headed back to our home for some downtime. We listened to music and bonded even more as a group. After our free time, we headed back to the school to finish up our work for the day. We all participated in a group dance that we will be performing later on! Overall, awesome day!

Day 6
Hello parents! So far, Nepal is a blast! Today, we started our day by hiking to the local market, where some of us bought pants and candles. We then trekked back for lunch. After some naps and journaling, we went hard to work at school. We created cement and hauled rocks. Overall, a great workout. Then we continued our very interesting dance class. I’d say we are now pros. Dinner was amazing and the group meeting brought us together as one group. Overall, a memorable, funny, and intriguing day.

Day 7
Hello all! Today was a great day, we really fell into the routine of the village. We woke up early for a 7:30 breakfast and made the hike to the school. We were joined by a local dog who followed us the whole way. After a few hours of hard work, we returned to lunch for real sausage. When we returned to the school, we continued our work for an hour, then split up, with some of us playing soccer, some of us teaching, and some of us continuing to work. The soccer game was adults versus Putney students. Needless to say, the students wiped the floor with the adults. People were so into the game that they chose to stay overtime to continue playing. Once back at home, we finished our dance and had a chance to learn Nepali or learn Nepali cooking. The day was relaxing and nice.

Day 8
Hey everyone! Today was an adventurous day. We hiked from the village all the way to a lodge in Junbesi. Although it was raining, we all did really well. Plus, we hiked way faster than expected. The hike was supposed to take 5-7 hours, and we did it in 4! After being drenched, everybody changed into dry clothes and drank some warm tea. Now that we are all warm and fed, we are playing cards and relaxing. Overall, not a bad day.
With love,
Addie (L.O.D.)
